...not sure where this came from:
The Mopar Nationals is the biggest single-marque car show in the world. It draws over 3,000 cars and around 40,000 people. The show and racing are always big draws, but one of the most anticipated unofficial activities of the Mopar "Nats" was cruising Columbus, Ohio's Brice Road. It was an awesome and sometimes rowdy display 0fPentastar power. That is, until the Mopar Nationals moved to Indianapolis.
In 1992, the first year at Indy, show-goers were treated to a very harsh and heavy-handed overreaction by police in response to a few people's nighttime tirespinning outbursts. Many attendees who had nothing to do with the antics were harassed and threatened, and some were arrested for no reason.
This August the Mopar Nationals returns to Columbus. Naturally, many enthusiasts are looking forward to the Brice Road Reunion. Take it from one who's been there, cruisin' Brice Road during the Nationals is unlike any other car experience, and the pent-up energy that's built up over the Nat's five-year, cruise-less detour to Indy promises to be an unforgettable night.
Our sister magazine, Mopar Muscle, has organized a caravan to Columbus. On Wednesday, August 5, and Thursday (depending on the distance to Columbus) six caravans are planned to depart from Auburn Hills, Michigan (home of Chrysler Corporation); Milwaukee, Wisconsin; Kansas City, Missouri; Memphis, Tennessee; Atlanta, Georgia; and the 1-80 corridor suburbs just outside Newark, New Jersey/New York, New York. On August 6, they'll converge on - you guessed it - Brice Road. If you're interested in making the trip, send your name, address and daytime/evening telephone numbers to Mopar Muscle, Return To Brice Road, P.O. Box 7157, Lakeland, FL 33807-7157.
Special note:
ESPN2 (The Total Sports Experience), is pleased to announce
the renewal of its
television coverage of the MOPAR Nationals for 1998.

cablecast on ESPN2, the
fastest growing cable network in the history of the cable industry.
At these three (3) events, two (2) 30-minute shows will be produced Featuring all aspects of the weekend's activities. The first 30-minute show will give primary coverage to the drag racing action and pit features. The second 30-minute show will highlight the Classic Car Show participants and other related areas. Both shows will be cablecast on ESPN2.

So far we have 4 members who will be going, but 2 may
not be bringing their Indy's. Wouldn't it be great to catch the attention
of those ESPN guys?
