Only one modification has been done to this vehicle since it was purchased new by me in March of 1997. Only a jet chip has been added, everything else is factory original. This beautiful truck as of 1-31-00 has less than 7,000 miles on it and is emaculate. It is only taken out of the garage if the weather is sunny and dry. No plans to make any real modifications at this time except to maybe add a K&N air flow system, would like a little more power but I would like to keep it as original as possible. |

On my Indy Ram, I've sunk the proverbial "BIG BUCKS" into engine, drivetrain and exhaust. The engine compartment is not dressed to impress, but it WILL eat Camaros, Firebirds and Weenie 5.0s all day long. Ran high 14.9's @ 94 mph before rebuild. Anticipate at least 1.0 second off that at near 100. All without the bottle (nor will it get one).
Yet to be done: conservative front and rear drop with Edelbrock shocks (it is a daily driver in Michigan you know), ram air hood, supercharger and am working on a rear spoiler of my own design.

1996 INDY RAM My truck is a stock truck with only a few mods.
I am looking for new exhaust system, performance chip, and to lower my truck.
if anybody can help me with part numbers and pricing, it would help me very much.
I would like it to be all Mopar is at all possible.
I know, hoever, that there are other manufactures that increase the trucks performance,
so I would like this information as well.

I've yet to do any modifications to my 96 Indy Ram since I bought it in July of 98. I'm getting ready to store it for the winter. I bought the beautiful truck cause I needed something to haul my race kart. I figured, why not go to the races in style. While my Indy 500 Ram is in storage I plan on doing some work to it such as headers and dual exhaust. I may install an MSD ignition and ram air for some more added power. |
